A big hello and welcome to the following children who recently joined us:
Marnie, Zach, Polly, Poppy, Eliza, Sienna, Clara and Tillie.
We’re looking forward to getting to know you all and having lots of fun in the coming months.
Emily Ball has recently joined us in the Baby room. Emily is a Level 2 NVQ qualified childcare practitioner. With seven years’ experience working with children and her own little one, Riley, Emily brings a wide range of skills to her role, including a strong creative flair.
Emily has also been awarded our Employee of the Month Award for her hands-on approach and clever use of initiative from day one – well done Emily!

We are also delighted to welcome Kerry Griffiths to the Riverside team. Kerry is a Level 3 NVQ qualified childcare practitioner and will be working with our toddlers. Kerry is an experienced nursery assistant and has a little girl called Lola who also attends the nursery.

Emma Yarrow will be returning to the Riverside Day Nursery early next year as Deputy Nursery Manager, following the birth of her little girl Aubrey last year. Nikita Gomm, our Maternity Cover Manager will take on the role of Nursery Manager.
New Who’s Who Guide
It’s always good to be able to put names to faces and we’re currently creating a new ‘who’s who’ staff photograph board for the lobby. Watch this space!
Pre-school children are looked after by Room Leaders, Amber and Shona, along with Beth, Paula and Gemma.
Babies are looked after by Team Leader Mary, along with Kelly and Jasmine.
Toddlers are looked after by Room Leader Zenab, along with Amy, Raji and Elena.
Team members Di and Charlotte also provide support in each of the nursery rooms according to the day’s activities.

Nikita currently manages the day-to-day running of the Riverside Day Nursery.
Nikita is a highly experienced nursery manager and joined us from Positive Steps in Maidenhead where she managed, and area-managed, eight of their settings, all of which were rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
Nikita, who has a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership, specialises in coaching nurseries and their respective teams in gaining outstanding Ofsted ratings – a goal we’re hoping to achieve at our future inspections.
Although a new face to most parents, Nikita trained with us several years ago before moving on to continue her professional development. Nikita’s no stranger to putting her childcare skills into practice and has two children of her own, Ashton aged eight and Rose aged four.
Nikita is already making positive changes around the nursery (you may have noticed our stylish new polo shirts!) and we look forward to introducing more in the coming months.
Abby, who left to have her baby last year, has re-joined us. Abby is working in the Baby room and brings lots experience with her as a new mum. Welcome back Abby!

Unfortunately, Zara has left the nursery. We wish Zara the best of luck in her future endeavours.
