As you know, Covid-19 had a huge impact on everyone, and like many people and businesses, we had to respond quickly to the many challenges it presented. Two years later, and with Covid-19 still around, adjusting to, and living with it, has become our new normal.

Although it seems the immediate emergency phase of Covid-19 is over, we continue to be vigilant and take extra steps to keep our children and staff safe and healthy.

Covid-19 Day-to-Day Safety Measures

Applying the latest government guidance and own additional safety measures, these are some actions we take to minimise the risk of Covid-19 infection:

• Regular Handwashing– Everyone is asked to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly, especially on arrival at nursery, before and after eating, after potty time/using the toilet, playing outdoors, and before home time.
• Thorough Cleaning– As well as a deep clean of all our nursery rooms, equipment and toys prior to opening, regular spot cleans are carried out throughout the day.

• Good Hygiene– Keeping clean and healthy is a key priority. We encourage the children to always apply good hygiene, such as using tissues to catch sneezes and coughs, popping used tissues in the bin, and avoiding touching their own (and each other’s) faces.
• Health Protocols– If a child, staff member, or a member of their household becomes unwell with Covid, they must not attend nursery. They must let us know, stay at home, and follow the latest guidance.
• Close Observation - Naturally, we observe the children closely and in the event a child shows any Covid-19 symptoms, including a new continuous cough, high temperature or a loss of their sense of taste or smell, they are separated, and their parents contacted right away.

In the event a new dangerous variation of Covid emerges, we will implement Government guidance to reduce the risk and catching of Covid, including, if necessary, temporarily closing the nursery.
