Curriculum

We are downright passionate (and talk a lot!) about inspiring children’s love of learning. Our dynamic curriculum builds on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and is designed to give your child the absolute best start in life.

EYFS sets the standard for learning and development and is made up of seven key areas. The first three areas we support your child with are Prime Areas: Communication and Language, Physical Development, and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. These are the building blocks for sparking children’s curiosity for learning and forging positive relationships.

As your child develops, we introduce four Specific Areas of development: Literacy, Maths, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design.

Above and Beyond the EYFS

Recognised by OFSTED for our impressive teaching methods, our tailored educational programme goes beyond the EYFS.

Through a mix of innovative and imaginative adult-led and child-led activities and experiences, we encourage the children to explore a broad range of subjects. It is our mission to fuel their wonder and discover the things that they genuinely love. As such, we incorporate an array of additional exciting activities, including multi-sports where the children enjoy a wide range of sports, swimming, and Spanish lessons.

Each subject is tackled creatively with a huge emphasis on having fun. This low-pressure but engaging approach helps build happy, confident learners.

Exclusive School Readiness Programme

Our unique School Readiness Programme is a shining jewel in our Pre-school curriculum crown. The initiative, created through speaking and working with local Windsor primary schools, equips the children with the skills to get off to a flying start at school, from practical self-care skills, to encouraging a confident ‘can do’ attitude.

Feedback from Reception teachers is overwhelmingly positive.

Your Child’s Key Person

As well as the collective care of an experienced practitioner team, your child has their own key person.

Rather than assigned, your child chooses their key person - often a staff member they develop a special rapport with while settling in. This is someone they can go to for one-to-one care and support at any time. Your child’s key person also gains a clear picture of their learning progress. By watching them play independently and with others, they in turn plan specific activities to stimulate and stretch your child’s learning.

A secondary keyworker is also hand-picked by your child, ensuring they have continuous individual support.

Monitoring and Feedback

As a parent, we understand that you want to know everything about how your child is doing. Are they making friends? Did they nap today? Are they hitting their learning goals?

We are committed to working with you so that you know all of this and more.

Here are just some of the ways we keep you informed:

  • All-in-one Parent App – we use an easy-to-use Parent app to send you daily updates and photos of what your child is up to.

You can also access your child’s Learning Journey made up our observations (day-to-day and EYFS assessments), photos, videos, and pieces of their work.

We constantly add to your child’s Learning Journey, building a detailed picture of their interests and strengths. This enables us to plan meaningful and gently challenging activities to help them take their next learning steps.

Alongside the activities your child has been doing, the app also shows what is coming up, so you are always in the learning loop.

  • Regular communication – two-way communication is absolutely encouraged. You will receive regular messages about how your child is getting on via our app, and a brief update at collection time. Plus, our door is always open if you want to discuss any aspect of your child’s care in detail.

We also host regular Parents’ evenings and social events; all great opportunities to look at your child’s wonderful work and discuss their progress.
