Important Parent Reminders

Notices for Parents

The sun has finally got the memo that it’s summer, hooray! With the weather warming up please pack suitable clothing, including labelled sun hats. To meet the changing weather conditions, we are happy for children to keep a hat here all week. Please also ensure the children have suitable footwear, such as sandals or trainers. Crocs and flip flops, while easy to put on, do cause slips and trips.

 Children’s Toys

Please can we remind you that if your child brings toys to nursery, we cannot be responsible for their safe return. Much as we love to share, it is often easier for the children to play with the toys provided by nursery and to save their special toys for home.

Holiday Absence Reminder

Now that we are in the official holiday season, please let us know in writing if you are going away on holiday and the dates your child won’t be in nursery. This helps us to ensure that we always maintain the right ratio of staff to children whilst also managing our staff holiday requests.

Fee Payment Reminder

A polite reminder to please pay all fees on time, which are due on 15th of each month. If you have any issues regarding payment, please contact Nikita the Nursery Manager as soon as possible in advance of payment.

Save the Date!

An important upcoming date for your diary:

Friday 5th July – Pre-school Graduation Ceremony with tea party and disco. All our leavers will receive a certificate and a leaving gift.

Pre-school leavers, if you haven’t already, please can you let us know your individual leaving date and which school you will be attending. Thank you.

Important Parent Reminders

Labelling Clothes 

Please can we remind parents to clearly label all clothing brought into nursery. That way we can always return lost items to their rightful owners.

Suitable Clothes

With the ever changing weather conditions please remember to pack clothes suitable for all eventualities from sun hats to wellies! On the warmer sunnier days we ask that your child has a thorough application of high factor sun cream applied before they come into nursery.

Childrens’ Toys

Can we kindly remind parents that we cannot accept responsibility for any toys brought into the nursery.  If children are fond of them, it is best to keep them at home.

Holiday and Child Absence Reminder

With the holiday season fast approaching, please notify the nursery with as much notice as possible, if your child is going to be away for any period of time. This is to ensure that we always maintain the correct ratio of staff to children in line with Ofsted regulations.

Save the Date!

Some important upcoming dates for your diary:

Easter Holiday Closing – The nursery will be closed all day on Good Friday (April 19th) and Monday 22nd April. We will re-open at the normal time on Tuesday 23rd April.

Thursday 18th April – Easter Egg Hunt and Parade: All children welcome including siblings! Prizes will be awarded for the best bonnets and if we are really lucky, we may even get a visit from the Easter Bunny!

Ps. Hi Parents, tempting as it is to join in with sticking and gluing, as far as possible, please let the children make their own bonnets! Creative parents are welcome to bring along a baked treat to share instead!

Important Parent Reminders

48-hour Illness Rule

This time of year, we are aware that there are lots of flu and tummy bugs going around. As an Ofsted-registered nursery and Early Years provider, we follow strict guidelines relating to illness provided to us by the Department of Health.

For sickness and diarrhoea, our policy is that children must be kept away from nursery for 48-hours after the last episode, to prevent the infection from spreading to other children in the nursery.
If you have any questions about how long to keep your child at home, please do not hesitate to call us on 01753 855543.
