Christmas Crafts

Take a look at the children’s Christmas art and crafts

All the hearty Christmas food has fuelled the children’s creativity this month with an array of cheerful art work and gifts being produced.

The babies and toddlers made some beautiful reindeer handprints, snowmen (complete with googly eyes) and paper-plate Christmas tree decorations – while the pre-schoolers painted Christmas wreaths and made reindeer hats.

All the children made Christmas gift bags to take home too, including a Christmas card, hand-made Christmas decoration and yummy peppermint creams to share with you.

December 2017 Christmas Festivities!

We’ve shared some heart-warming celebrations throughout December.

Christmas Lunch

The festivities started with the children’s Christmas lunch in mid-December. The children donned their hand-made reindeer hats and despite their obvious excitement – and the fact there were crackers to pull! – sat beautifully throughout.

The children enjoyed turkey, stuffing, roast potatoes, vegetables – a few even tried the Brussel sprouts – followed by yummy yule log and ice cream!

We could be wrong but we think Jake’s enjoying his chocolate cake!

Nursery Christmas Concert

Our Nursery Christmas Concert is a very special event for all our children and parents. This year began with the Babies’ and Toddlers’ Christmas event – it was lovely seeing so many little (and big!) smiling faces.

The babies and toddlers then joined our Pre-school children in the Sports Hall for their concert of Christmas songs and carols. We’re sure you’ll agree the children sung beautifully.

It was fantastic to welcome so many parents and carers to share the concert and catch up over nibbles and drinks afterwards.

Our Carol Concert

Our Carol Concert where the children performed beautifully

Celebrations culminated in a traditional Christmas party earlier this week where the children played pin the nose on the reindeer, pass the parsnip, plus many more games. Everyone dressed up for the event too. The children had lots of fun, but you can probably guess which part was the highlight…the party tea!
