This month love is all around us as we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Nothing says I love you more than spending dedicated time with the ones you love. Here are some heart-warming ideas for ways to spend time with your little ones and big ones this February.

If your little one has siblings at school, half term is coming up shortly. Here are some fun local activities for all the whole family to enjoy this half term holiday.

  • Junior Builder Week at Legoland, 15th to 24th February 2019
  • Bottle feeding the lambs at Odds Farm Park all half term week
  • Interactive trail at Cliveden House with a handmade craft to create and take home (only certain days)
  • Build a mini-beast bug house at Hughenden Manor, near High Wycombe 18th – 22nd February 2019
  • Puppet making workshop at Bucks County Museum in Aylesbury 18th – 19th February

Halloween is coming…

With half term and Halloween just around the corner, here are some spooky family activities on offer around Windsor this month.

Windsor Royal Shopping’s Annual Halloween Pumpkin Party!

Take part in the pumpkin carving competition and carve your very own pumpkin head, free of charge! There is also a Halloween fancy dress competition and entertainment by Mr Marvel. Fancy dress and pumpkin judging will commence at 3:30pm. This event is free, and no booking is required. You can find out more here:

Halloween Trail at The Oakley Court, Windsor Road 

Friday 26th October – Wednesday 31st October 

Children staying at the Oakley hotel or going along to dinner with parents during the half-term weekend will be able to take part in a Halloween Trail! Halloween letters will be left around the hotel for children to find and piece together to form a mystery word. Prizes are on offer for those that find all the clues and guess the word correctly. Build-a-Bat Box Workshop and Bug Encounters!

Beale Park Wildlife Park and Gardens has lots on for families this half-term. From 10.30am until midday, children can take part in a Build-a-Bat Box workshop (it costs £5 per child), which they can take home when they’ve finished. They can also meet the bugs of Beale Park from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, where they can get up close-up to creepy crawlies from the Park’s Bertie’s Bugs and Beasts exhibit.
