Big news! We’re delighted that we’ve been awarded a ‘Good’ rating following our first full inspection from Ofsted.
As you’re probably aware, Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills who carry out inspections to ensure childcare providers meet requirements for safety, learning and development. To help inspectors gain an accurate view of a provider, inspections are usually carried out at very short notice.
Emma Summersgill, nursery founder, said: [pb_blockquote]“We’re absolutely thrilled with our ‘good’ rating and I’m very proud of Emma and the team for their commitment and hard work. As anyone who works in childcare and education knows, Ofsted inspections can be nerve wracking but especially for Emma as it was her first inspection as manager of the nursery.
“We believe in providing a happy, home-from-home environment where children can explore the world and gain confidence. Emma and the team are really motivated and love looking after the children so it’s great to have this official recognition by Ofsted.”[/pb_blockquote]
Highlights from the nursery’s Ofsted report:
• Staff provide stimulating environments and enjoyable learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
• Children are confident and motivated to learn. They behave well and are happy and settled.
• Children are confident and independent. They build positive relationships with staff and relate to each other.
• Staff make good use of the outdoor play environment to help promote children’s physical development.
