Snow Contingency Plan

In the unlikely event we cannot open, or need to close early, due to heavy snow fall, we will let you know as soon as possible by email or text and on our social media pages. In addition, we update the news banner on the website home page, so do check there first.

Monthly Fee Payment Reminder

 A polite reminder to make pay fee payments on time. These are due on 15th of each month. If you have any issues regarding payment, please advise Nikita our Nursery Manager as soon as possible.

Swapping Nursery Sessions

Unfortunately, it is not possible to swap sessions during the week due to the number of places allocated per session. If you would like to arrange extra morning and/or afternoon attendance, then please let us know and we will check availability for you and hope to be able to help.

Equally it is not feasible to swap, or credit childcare sessions missed due to holidays or illness. If you have any questions, please do speak to Nikita.

Winter Clothing

With the freezing winter weather in full swing, please ensure your child/children have suitable outdoor clothing and a pair of wellies at nursery (warm socks and gloves/hat are also handy). Please remember to clearly label all clothing and footwear.

Please note that our babies also need to bring in suitable warm footwear (even if they are not yet walking) so they don’t miss out on garden exploits and other outdoor trips!

Important Parent Reminders

Important notices for parents:

Slippers for Pre-schoolers

Our pre-schoolers are welcome to bring in their slippers to wear whilst at nursery. Please make sure that they are named, and that they also have shoes for playing outdoors too.

Winter Clothing

 With the weather turning chillier, please make sure your child/children have suitable warm outdoor clothing and a pair of wellies at nursery (warm socks and gloves/hat are also handy). Please remember to ensure that everything is clearly labelled.

Please can parents kindly return their childcare voucher forms to us as soon as possible, the Government’s October deadline is fast approaching.

Important Parent Reminders

Notices for Parents

Sunny Weather

Sun Cream and Clothing reminder – If you haven’t filled in the consent form allowing us to apply sun cream (and you wish us to do so) please complete and return it to us as soon as possible. With the warm weather spell continuing please ensure that children have appropriate light clothing, such as shorts, sunhat and sandals (fully labelled). No crocs or flip flops please, due to the risk of trips and falls.

Holidays

Please let us know of any holidays that you have planned as it assists with staff annual leave planning during the busy summer months. In turn, this helps us to ensure that we maintain a strong staff to children ratio.

In addition, we do ask that you let us know your child’s last day at nursery (in writing) before starting school. The terms of our notice policy are set out below:

Withdrawal: I agree to provide ONE CALENDAR MONTH’S NOTICE (i.e. 1st to 31st of the following month) to leave or to pay the fees in lieu thereof. (Please note that no exceptions will be made. Notice of withdrawal or to change hours, must be received by the Riverside Day Nursery by the 1st of the month for the calendar month ahead. Notice periods of withdrawal or changes cannot be given mid-month to mid-month).
