There’s one! Spotting farm animals
The pre-school and older pre-school children met the animals at Odds Farm in June.
As well as feeding an array of hungry pygmy goats (no fingers were nibbled!), the children had a chance to look after and brush the farm’s rabbits. The finale was a tractor ride across the fields before letting off steam in the huge play barn.

At our recent ‘People Who Help Us’ Day, we were delighted to welcome a variety of parents to talk to the children about their different jobs.
From firefighters to doctors, police officers to vets, the children were fascinated to learn about the different roles people do.
The visitors shared their experiences and answered questions. There were some fun practical sessions too. The policeman not only took the children’s fingerprints but let them sit in the police car (yes, they put the flashing light on!). While the royal guard let the children try on his bearskin hat.

Thank you to all the wonderful parents who gave up their time to come in. It helped the children gain a real understanding of the world of work.
Trying out finger printing
We celebrated Holi in February, also known as the Festival of Colours. A traditional Hindu festival, the children had lots of fun covering each other with vibrant coloured powder. There was also music and dancing.
Colour fun for everyone
We received an exclusive royal invitation to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony recently. One of our children’s relatives invited us to watch the event within the castle grounds.
Nikita, Nursery Manager, said: “The children loved seeing the ceremony close-up. They even tried on one of the guardsman’s bearskin hats.”
While we were watching something magical happened. Who did we spot peering out of one of the castle windows? None other than King Charles!
Thank you to everyone who made this trip a memorable occasion. The children are still talking about their royal encounter to this day.

Watching the Changing of the Guard
The older pre-school children had a roaring time at the production of The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Held at South Hilll Park, Bracknell, the show featured the famous stripy-tailed, tea-guzzling tiger who comes to visit Sophie and her Mummy at home.
The children were captivated by the tiger’s on-stage antics and, we can confirm, sang along to all the songs with gusto. We hope you had a purrrrrrfect time.
