The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration

A royal tea party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

We were thrilled that all the children came to our party in honour of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.

The nursery team did amazing job transforming our toddler room into an old-fashioned royal street party, complete with long tables and colourful Union Jack bunting and flags.

We sat down to a wonderful party tea of sandwiches, crisps and fruit followed by fun party games.

The children dressed regally for the occasion, coming as Princes, Princesses, Kings and Queens.

Congratulations to Eden and Arvind (Pre-school winners), Albert and Rosie (Toddler winners) and Daisy and Florence (Baby winners) for scooping prizes in the best costume competition.

It’s hard to believe we’ve been at Windsor Leisure Centre for a year. We hope you’ll join us to celebrate our first 12 months at Windsor Leisure Centre. There will be drinks and a buffet, so why not come along and meet the nursery team and other parents?

Tuesday 12 July 2016 – The Riverside Day Nursery’s Leavers Lunch

We’re holding our leavers lunch in July to say goodbye to our lovely pre-schoolers who will be starting their big school adventure in September. More details to follow.

Nursery Trips Out

We’re out and about…

To help our pre-school children learn more about farming as part of our European theme – and pet a few friendly farm animals along the way – we’re planning a trip out to Odd’s Farm later this month. While to bring our castles theme to life we’ll be visiting that most magical of castles right on our doorstep, Windsor Castle.

It also happens to be the Queen’s 90^th birthday on April 21^st so we’ll be hanging up the bunting and having a street party in celebration.

With 2016 well underway here are some important dates for your diaries.

Easter closing – We will close at 6 pm on Thursday 24th March and re-open Tuesday 29th March.

Thursday 21^st April – Royal Street Party. We’re celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with a good old-fashioned street party. We are in Windsor after all! We’ll send you more details in forthcoming newsletters.
