Top Tips for Summer Fun!
Here are some summer sun activities based locally – don’t forget the sun cream!
Visit Windsor – Start by watching the changing of the guard – it’s on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 10.30am. You can also explore the castle or take a bus tour. The Windsor Duck Tours are a great alternative way to see the town.
Cassiobury Park, Watford – This park has it all – 190 acres of open space, paddling pool playgrounds, bungee trampolines, a miniature railway, bouncy castle and heaps more. There are also nature trails and picnic spots for refuelling.
Odds Farm Park – Perfect in the warm weather as it offers a selection of outdoor and indoor enjoyment. From petting the animals and riding the train to zooming down slides and jumping on hay bales, there’s a whole day of entertainment for little ones.
Snozone, Milton Keynes – To totally cool you off why not try sledging at the Snozone? It’s fantastic fun! All you need is waterproof, warm clothing, boots and gloves – if you’ve packed them away for summer you can hire them when you get there.
Wendover Woods – Cycling trails, BBQ spots, a den building area and the fantastic Highway Rat Trail are just a few things on offer. The forest trail is inspired by The Highway Rat, the latest Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler book. Children can follow the signs, complete activities and interact with the forest as they head on a journey with all the characters from the story. Pack a picnic for a fun, full day outdoors.
Enjoy!
